Le Conseil national du patronat (CNP) s’est réjoui, dans un communiqué, transmis à l’APS, de la levée des sanctions économiques et financières de la Communauté économique des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (CEDEAO) contre le Mali.
Le 61e sommet ordinaire des chefs d’Etat et de gouvernements de la CEDEAO, tenu dimanche à Accra, au Ghana, a décidé de lever les sanctions économiques et financières que l’organisation avait imposées au Mali depuis janvier dernier.
Cette décision ouvre la voie à une réouverture des frontières avec le Mali et au dégel des avoirs de l’Etat malien par la Banque centrale des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (BCEAO).
‘’Le Conseil national du patronat se réjouit de la décision des Chefs d’Etat de la CEDEAO de lever les sanctions économiques contre le Mali’’, indique le communiqué du CNP, reçu mardi à l’APS.
Dans son texte, l’organisation patronale salue la posture du président Macky Sall ‘’pour la bonne gestion de ce dossier particulièrement sensible’’.
Il rappelle que le CNP avait fait part au chef de l’Etat sénégalais, de ‘’ses vives inquiétudes au regard des impacts négatifs financiers, économiques et sociaux dans plusieurs secteurs d’activités’’ que pourrait engendrer la fermeture des frontières maliennes.
‘’Le transport multimodal et la logistique portuaire ont été particulièrement affectés, ainsi que les secteurs de l’industrie et les investissements des privés sénégalais au Mali’’, selon le CNP.
Il indique qu’en termes d’investissement direct étranger (IDE) au Mali, ‘’les privés sénégalais sont les 3èmes avec plus de 50 milliards par an après l’Australie et le Canada’’.
L’organisation patronale signale qu’au regard également des chaines d’exportations vers le Mali que le Sénégal est de loin le 1er pays exportateur avec plus de 493 milliards FCFA, alors que la Côte d’Ivoire enregistre 383 milliards FCFA et le Togo 75 milliards FCFA.
Elle ajoute que les trafics de conteneurs et de produits conventionnels ont baissé en moyenne de plus de 70% et que pour ‘’les créances bancaires cumulées dues à nos entreprises que les partenaires (…) maliens ne pouvaient s’en acquitter avec les sanctions relatives aux transactions financières’’.
Le CNP précise que le secteur industriel sénégalais a été également très affecté car exportant ‘’plus de 30 milliards FCFA de produits alimentaires, plus de 80 milliards FCFA de matériaux de construction, sans oublier les dizaines de milliards de produits chimiques et de matières premières’’.
