Cinq mille six cents. C’est le nombre de plaintes que la Division spéciale de cybercriminalité (DCS) a reçu en 2023. L’annonce a été faite hier par le patron de cette structure, le commissaire Aly Kandé.
Il a fait une communication sur le thème ‘’Lutte contre les nouvelles tendances de cybercriminalité appliquée aux plateformes de mobile money :
_les mécanismes de coopération et signalement rapide’’,
_lors de la conférence nationale sur le programme de valorisation de l’expérience utilisateur à travers le partenariat et la communication.
Selon lui, en 2018, date de la création de cette structure, le nombre de plaintes était de 212.
Ce qui lui fait dire que la question de la prise en charge de cette nouvelle escroquerie est une réelle demande. Beaucoup de délits liés à la cybersécurité, a-t-il précisé, pourraient être évités à travers la sensibilisation.
‘’Des fois, on se rend compte que si les choses se passaient ainsi, beaucoup de victimes pourraient ne pas être tombées dans le piège des cybercriminels dont les infractions d’escroquerie financière’’, a-t-il soutenu.
D’après lui, les faits les plus récurrents sont le ‘’fishing’’ qui est accompagné de l’ingénierie.
Les auteurs, selon lui, pour mieux ferrer leurs cibles, font souvent un saut sur la page de la victime à travers les réseaux sociaux. Ils sont souvent dans l’usurpation d’identité et les faux services de soutien. Pour ce dernier, a précisé le commissaire, plusieurs plaintes ont été reçues.
Pour faire face à la cybersécurité, le patron de la DSC a confié certaines dispositions.
Elles vont de l’identité rigoureuse des puces téléphoniques, pour mettre un terme à la vente à la sauvette des puces téléphoniques, un maillage national de la structure qu’il dirige, une sensibilisation de la population, entre autres. ‘’Il y a une sensibilisation à faire.
C’est à tous les niveaux, à savoir la presse, les organisations pour les consommateurs, la responsabilité au niveau des différents opérateurs.
On reconnaît les lenteurs des canaux de coopération et le manque d’identification rigoureuse des clients par les services des opérateurs téléphoniques et une faible sensibilisation de celles-ci. Nous recevons des victimes un peu partout dans le pays, mais on le fait mieux.
Les suspects s’installent souvent au niveau des frontières pour rejoindre facilement un pays limitrophe chaque fois qu’ils font un gros coup.
Ceci s’explique par le fait qu’ils ont une idée sur notre façon de travailler. Le phénomène s’amplifie de jour en jour. Les modus operandi évoluent, les pratiques évoluent.
Aujourd’hui, notre travail est de plus en plus difficile’’, a indiqué le commissaire Kandé. Installée en 2017, la Division spéciale de cybersécurité (DSC) avait pour objectif de faire face à la délinquance cybercriminelle. Le commissaire Aly Kandé est le deuxième patron.
