Le Président de la république en a profité pour expliquer son choix porté sur Amadou Mame Diop au détriment d’Aminata Touré.
« Quand je confectionnais la liste, je n’avais promis à personne d’être tête de liste de notre coalition. C’est vrai que j’ai demandé à Aminata Touré la copie de sa carte d’identité, mais elle ne savait même pas qu’elle serait la tête de liste », a déclaré le patron de BBY, repris par Les Echos.
Macky Sall, d’ajouter : « je n’ai promis à aucun des candidats qu’il serait tête de liste. Chaque candidat méritait d’être tête de liste. »
Il rembobine, taclant Mimi Touré : « Aminata Touré a ses habitudes, elle va, elle vient. Nous, on avance, on a des échéances devant nous ».
« Quand je choisis quelqu’un, j’ai mes propres raisons. Je ne prends pas de décisions irréfléchies. Je connais bien celui que j’ai nommé et je sais qu’il a les critères qu’il faut pour être le président de l’assemblée nationale », a-t-il confié.
