Bamba Dieng sait où il veut jouer la saison prochaine. D’après La Provence, l’international sénégalais voudrait rester à l’OM et ce, malgré de nombreux intérêts des clubs étrangers, notamment en Angleterre et en Allemagne. Sa position serait « ferme et définitive » selon le quotidien régional, même si un éventuel transfert pourrait rapporter plusieurs millions à l’OM. Une décision qui va dans le sens de ses premières déclarations, puisque le 15 mai dernier, il affirmait qu’il serait à l’OM « la saison prochaine », notamment pour découvrir la Ligue des champions.
Des discussions avec Fribourg
Auteur de sa première saison pleine sous le maillot marseillais, le joueur de 22 ans a vu son statut changer. Il s’est fait un nom sur le front de l’attaque marseillaise. Profitant de l’irrégularité d’Arek Milik, Bamba Dieng a gratté du temps de jeu avant de s’installer régulièrement dans le onze de Jorge Sampaoli. Grâce à ses huit buts en 36 matchs, Dieng s’est ouvert les portes de la sélection sénégalaise dès octobre 2021. Il est l’un des buteurs du huitième de finale de la CAN contre le Cap-Vert. Un exercice couronné du plus beau but de la saison en Ligue 1, avec son retourné contre Stasbourg.
Il y a quelques jours, l’équipe de Fribourg, récent finaliste de la Coupe, aurait entamé les discussion avec l’entourage du joueur pour convenir d’un accord contractuel avec le joueur. Le club s’était déjà renseigné pour l’attaquant il y a plusieurs mois.
