Le Sénégal n’est pas rentré bredouille de l’Open de France d’Athlétisme. À l’instar de Louis François Mendy, Saly Sarr s’est illustrée à l’occasion de ces Championnats open en France, avec un nouveau record personnel.
L’Open de France d’athlétisme de cette année a vu une belle performance des Sénégalais à l’image de Louis François Mendy et Saly Sarr. En effet, la médaillée d’argent aux derniers Championnats d’Afrique a remporté l’épreuve du triple saut en établissant un nouveau record personnel (13m75).
Par contre, la championne d’Afrique en titre, Sangoné Kandji, a échoué au pied du podium de cette même épreuve avec un bond mesuré à 13m44. La championne sénégalaise avait réalisé un saut de 13m76 aux championnats d’Afrique, en juin dernier, juste devant Saly Sarr (13m42) médaillée d’argent.
