Fortement attendu sur la baisse du coût de la vie, le nouveau gouvernement multiplie les rencontres avec les différents acteurs concernés. Le ministre du Commerce et de l’industrie a rencontré hier les opérateurs économiques et les commerçants du Sénégal.
L’une des recommandations fortes, à l’issue de cette réunion, c’est «la mise en place d’une Commission regroupant les dix majeurs importateurs de riz, de sucre et d’huile pour voir comment trouver les meilleurs moyens de réduire les prix des denrées de consommation courante».
Il a été évoqué aussi, lors de cette rencontre, «la création d’une structure de financement forte et la promotion du concept «Baay Doundé» à travers les huit pôles de développement économique et les agro pôles» qui «font également partie des leviers, en plus de l’accès à la terre».
En outre, le ministre Serigne Guèye Diop a fait savoir qu’à «l’image des pays fortement industrialisés, la voie du salut passe nécessairement par une «endogenéisation» de l’économie».
En d’autres termes, note-t-on dans le document publié par le ministère, «accompagner et protéger les commerçants et industriels sénégalais en vue d’assurer une croissance économique soutenue et durable».
Pour y parvenir, le ministre de l’Industrie et du commerce est convaincu que «l’implication des acteurs du secteur reste indispensable dans un contexte où les ménages sénégalais souhaitent une baisse des prix des denrées de première nécessité comme le riz, l’huile et le sucre…».
Par ailleurs, selon les auteurs du document, le président de l’Unacois Jappo, Idy Thiam, le représentant de l’Association des commerçants et industriels du Sénégal, Mohamed Fattah Ndiaye, et le Président de l’Unacois Yessal, Cheikhou Cissé, ont été «rassurés par les propos du ministre qui, de prime abord, semble très au fait des contraintes et goulots d’étranglement qui plombent le secteur».
Des contraintes, indique-t-on dans le document du ministère, «liées au coût des taxes douanières jugé élevé, à la difficulté d’accès au foncier et au manque de financement approprié pour asseoir des unités commerciales et industrielles pérennes».
