La CAF a dévoilé ce mercredi matin les pré-listes des 24 équipes qualifiées pour la CAN 2023. Aliou Cissé a ratissé large pour faire une sélection de 55 joueurs.
Dans cette sélection élargie, on retrouve plusieurs profils. Ils sont tous des potentiels sélectionnés dans la tanière donc il n’y a réellement pas de surprises D’ailleurs, peu d’entre eux n’ont pas encore été convoqués par Aliou Cissé.
La première remarque est qu’El Tactico a pré-convoqué presque tous les Champions d’Afrique de 2022.
Loin des regroupements de la tanière depuis cette année, Pape Abou Cissé, Mame Baba Thiam, Joseph Lopy, Moustapha Name sont dans sa pré-sélection. Sans surprise, Abdallah Sima (qui n’a pas encore disputé une CAN) et Bamba Dieng sont aussi des prétendants pour la liste finale.
En 2023, Aliou Cissé a presque cheminé avec le même groupe, intégrant des nouveaux de temps en temps.
Tous sont là, allant de Noah Fadiga a Lamine Camara sans oublier Dion Lopy. Incertain pour la prochaine CAN en raison de blessure, Nampalys Mendy et Youssouf Sabaly sont en lice.
Champion d’Afrique U20, le pensionnaire du FC Metz, Papa Amadou Diallo est dans la pré-liste. De même que les vainqueurs du CHAN Ousmane Diouf, Aliou Badara Faty et Pape Amadou Sy. Les internationaux U23 Mamadou Ibra Mbacke Fall et Rassoul Ndiaye s’ajoutent au groupe des « Espoirs de la Tanière ».
De même que Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly ancien de Génération Foot aujourd’hui au FC Metz.
On parlerait presque de surprise avec la convocation d’Arouna Sangante, un défenseur central de 21 ans. Pensionnaire dans le club français Le Havre AC, le natif de Mbao est dans le viseur d’Aliou Cissé.
Notons qu’au final, la liste définitive sera de 27 joueurs, elle est attendue le 3 janvier. Ce groupe disputera la CAN 2023 prévue du 13 janvier au 11 février 2024.
