Le nouvel État-major de la gendarmerie nationale inauguré ce matin par le chef de l’État. D’après Macky Sall, la dimension de l’infrastructure épouse la grandeur et le prestige qu’il accorde aux forces de défense et de sécurité qui sont sur plusieurs fronts, parmi lesquelles la lutte contre le terrorisme, la cybercriminalité et les migrations irrégulières.
Cette inauguration a été l’occasion, pour le président Sall, de se prononcer sur la situation du pays. « Nous vivons au quotidien la montée des périls, le terrorisme, le trafic de drogue, la piraterie maritime, la pêche illicite, non déclarée et non réglementée, la cybercriminalité, le phénomène mondial des usages malveillants des réseaux sociaux, nouvelles formes de perturbation de l’ordre public et de déstabilisation nationale, entre autres », a-t-il déclaré.
La question liée aux réseaux de migration clandestine a également été abordée par le président de la République qui prévoit des mesures drastiques pour endiguer ce phénomène qui a vu la disparition d’un millier de Sénégalais.
Face à tous ces périples, explique le chef de l’État, « la montée en puissance de nos forces de défense et de sécurité s’impose en permanence. Elle doit être vigoureuse pour garder la prédominance sur les défis et agir pour s’adapter à toutes les circonstances », a affirmé Macky Sall.
