La revue annuelle de la protection sociale pour l’année 2021 a été révisée à Dakar. Objet d’un atelier, le rapport a finalement été validé et à cette occasion, la déléguée générale à la protection sociale et à la solidarité nationale a fait le point.
D’après celle-ci, «la protection sociale est devenue l’instrument le plus efficace pour lutter contre la pauvreté, les inégalités et l’exclusion. Elle vise en effet, le relèvement de la couverture sociale des travailleurs et des retraités, l’amélioration des conditions de vie des groupes vulnérables, l’extension de la protection sociale aux travailleurs de l’économie informelle et du monde rural».
En termes de résultats, Aminata Sow, renseigne qu’en matière d’assurance maladie: «le nombre d’enfants bénéficiaires d’une assurance maladie a doublé entre 2018-2021. En 2021, il est à 1 820 766 enfants ».
Faisant toujours le point des avancées de 2021, la Dgps note qu’au plan des gratuités en matière de santé, pour les moins de 5 ans : «91,9% des enfants de 0 à 11 mois ciblés (592.256) ont été complètement vaccinés».
D’après Mme Sow, au plan de l’alimentation : 499.193 apprenants ont bénéficié de cantines scolaires en 2021. En matière de transferts monétaires pour les jeunes enfants 1 495 301 enfants ont bénéficié en 2021 de transferts Pour rappel, la revue de la protection sociale constitue une occasion d’évaluer les performances de la politique de protection sociale en tenant compte des objectifs.
En somme, il s’agit de faire le bilan de l’exécution technique et financière ; d’examiner les réformes et difficultés, d’identifier les perspectives, de formuler des recommandations tenant compte des enjeux pour alimenter la Revue annuelle conjointe (Rac) du Pse.
