La semaine de transformation des produits céréaliers, maraîchers et forestiers a été célébrée ce mercredi 15 novembre 2023 dans la commune de Sabodala, en présence des autorités administratives locales et de la SGO, filiale de Endeavor mining.
La SGO a offert aux femmes de la localité 24 machines broyeuses, des décortiqueuses de pâte d’arachide et des moulins à répartir entre les différents villages en plus d’une enveloppe de 10 millions de FCFA. Les femmes sont venues très nombreuses participer à ce moment de communion, de fraternité, de partage et de joie entre communautés et Endeavour Mining Company.
Cette démarche consiste à mettre en place des moyens de subsistance et de consolider les acquis dans l’ensemble de la commune de Sabodala dans le cadre de la responsabilité sociétale des entreprises (RSE).
Ces femmes du Bélédougou ont été également formées sur le leadership transformationel et l’éducation financière. Ces compétences et acquis les aideront à assurer leur autonomisation financière pour le bien-être et le développement de leurs localités.
Le représentant du Directeur général d’Endavour Mining, M. Lawrence, a affirmé sa volonté d’accompagner les familles impactées dans la commune de Sabodala.
Il précise que ces nombreuses opportunités doivent être sur le marché de la compétitivité. Il a ensuite chaleureusement remercié la société Vivo énergie pour l’accompagnement. Pour finir, il a exhorté les femmes à redoubler d’efforts pour la valorisation et la transformation des produits locaux, afin d’aboutir à leur autonomisation financière.
À titre d’équipements et fournitures, SGO est à plus de 40 millions pour l’année 2023. Il réaffirme la volonté de l’entreprise minière SGO et ses partenaires de Vivo à accompagner ces femmes en terme de formation, d’entrepreneuriat et d’accès aux financements pour mieux assurer leur autonomisation.
L’adjoint au sous préfet de l’arrondissement de Sabodala, Anaby Arouna Diédhiou a décliné la volonté des autorités administratives à accompagner la démarche de la SGO sans oublier de rappeler que cette démarche s’inscrit en droite ligne avec la politique de développement de l’État du Sénégal à travers la vision du président de la République exprimée lors du dernier conseil présidentiel à Kédougou.
Il a ainsi exprimé toute sa satisfaction à l’endroit de SGO et ses partenaires de Vivo Énergie…
