Cent vingt-trois élèves et 10 accompagnants du Groupe scolaire Raphael Faye de la commune de Diamaguène Sicap Mbao ont été sensibilisés, mercredi, à la préservation des ressources naturelles par le Centre d’éducation et de formation environnementale (CEFE), du ministère de l’Environnement et de la Transition écologique, a constaté l’APS.
Cette session de formation, qui s’est tenue à l’auditorium du ministère de l’Environnement, entre dans le cadre des ”mercredis verts”, un programme initié par le CEFE, en partenariat avec les établissements scolaires.
L’objectif vise à susciter l’éveil d’une conscience écoresponsable et la promotion de l’écocitoyenneté chez les élèves, a expliqué le directeur du CEFE, Dr Gora Niang.
”+Les mercredis verts+ sont un programme phare du Centre de formation et d’éducation environnementale, qui sensibilise les écoliers à la protection de l’environnement et la préservation des ressources naturelles, a-t-il ajouté.
‘’Aujourd’hui, nous recevons le Groupe scolaire Raphael Faye de la commune de Diamaguène Sicap Mbao à l’auditorium où nous avons récemment reçu d’autres établissements scolaires de Dakar’’, a-t-il relevé.
Il a expliqué qu’ au cours de ces séances, ”des films sur la problématique des feux de brousse, de la coupe abusive du bois ou encore de la pollution marine sont projetés”.
”Nous montrons également aux élèves des problèmes environnementaux, à travers des prestations théâtrales de troupes, comme la troupe du jour, Thiossane de Malika’’, a-t-il ajouté.
Il a signalé qu’au-delà des ”mercredis verts”, le centre se déplace parfois vers les établissements scolaires et universitaires, notamment à l’université Iba Der Thiam Thiès, où on a sensibilisé récemment 200 à 300 étudiants, sur des problématiques environnementaux.
‘’Nous voulons à travers ces activités passer de la pédagogie à la pratique avec les élèves et étudiants’’, a-t-il expliqué, ajoutant que l’ambition du centre est de faire du Sénégal ”un pays propre et vert”.
‘’Nous voulons faire du Sénégal un pays où la lutte contre la pollution et le réchauffement climatique seront une réalité prise à bras-le-corps par l’ensemble des citoyens’’, a-t-il encore déclaré.
