La Tamkharite (Achoura) sera célébrée le lundi 9 août prochain au Sénégal, a annoncé la Commission nationale de concertation et d’observation du croissant lunaire (CONACOC).
C’est un jour célébré de moult manières dans les pays musulmans où se mêlent traditions locales et islam.
La Tamxarit revêt un caractère très culturel. Ce qui se reflète à travers les mets culinaires et le « Taajabòon ».
Il est de coutume que chaque famille musulmane sénégalaise, riche ou pauvre, prépare le « thiéré » (couscous à base de mil) le jour d’Achoura. Au fil du temps, le mode culinaire a beaucoup évolué. En ville, depuis quelques années, le « thiéré bombé » est à la mode.
