Au Sénégal, le mobile se porte bien. Selon le dernier rapport de l’Autoritié de Régulation des Télécommunications et des Postes ( ARTP) , le chiffre d’affaires de la téléphonie mobile s’établit à 469,92 milliards de FCFA en 2021 contre 428,79 milliards en 2020, soit une hausse de 8,87%.
D’après le document parcouru par Socialnetlink, «le parc de lignes de la téléphonie mobile suit une tendance à la hausse au cours de l’année 2021. Il est de 19.859.981 lignes, soit une augmentation de 4,09% par rapport à 2020.
Le taux de pénétration du mobile en 2021 est estimé à 115,36%
L’évolution du taux de pénétration de la téléphonie mobile est corrélée à celle du parc de lignes. Il est de 115,36% en 2021 contre 114,21% en 2020. Sur le marché de la téléphonie mobile, un consommateur peut posséder plusieurs cartes SIM.
«Cet accroissement du parc de lignes de la téléphonie mobile est soutenu par les lignes post payées et prépayées qui ont crû, respectivement de 10,31% et 4,01% en 2021. ORANGE et EXPRESSO ont respectivement enregistré des hausses de 5,75% et 0,97% de leur parc prépayé. Par contre FREE a enregistré une baisse de 3.72% de son parc prépayé. Sur le post payé, FREE et ORANGE ont enregistré des notes positives de respectivement 14,54% et 9,28% au cours de l’année 2021. EXPRESSO a enregistré une baisse de 0.58% de son parc post payé » renseigne le rapport.
Cependant, on note une baisse de 11.07% dans les investissements (hors coûts d’acquisition des fréquences) consentis par les opérateurs titulaires de licence sur le marché de la téléphonie mobile.
ORANGE toujours leader du mobile au Sénégal
L’opérateur SONATEL commercialisant des services mobiles sous la marque ORANGE reste dominant sur le marché de la téléphonie mobile avec un gain de 0,91 point de part de marché en parc au cours de l’année 2021. Par contre, les parts de marché de FREE et EXPRESSO ont respectivement baissé de 1,84 et 0,57 point. L’opérateur de réseau mobile virtuel PROMOBILE comptabilise 1,5% du parc de lignes mobile tandis que HAYO l’opérateur de service universel déteint 0,02% du parc mobile en 2021.
Concernant les parts de marché en trafic sortant, 70% du trafic sortant de communications est acheminé par ORANGE. Les parts de marché de FREE et EXPRESSO sont estimés res-pectivement à 23,34% et 6,58% en 2021.
L’opérateur ORANGE réalise, en 2021, 71,69% de la valeur du marché de la téléphonie mobile contre 72,36% en 2020. La part de marché de FREE s’est appréciée de 1,64 point et s’établit à 21.29%. Par contre, la part de EXPRESSO (6,95%) a baissé de 1,04 point au cours de la période sous revue. PROMOBILE exerçant depuis octobre 2020 contribue à hauteur de 0,07% à la formation de la valeur du marché de la téléphonie mobile.
Les opérateurs ont offert 375 promotions pour toutes leurs gammes d’offres prépayées mobile en 2021 contre 303 offres promotionnelles l’année précédente ; soit une augmentation de 19,20%. Cette hausse du nombre de promotions est essentiellement liée à la prise en compte de promotions exceptionnelles et à la comptabilisation des promotions offertes par PROMO- BILE.
Les opérateurs titulaires de licence de téléphonie mobile ont offert 375 promotions au cou- rant de l’année 2021 pour toutes leurs gammes d’offres prépayées contre 474 promotions en 2020. ORANGE a proposé le plus d’offres promotionnelles, soit 163 sur la période, contre 17 pro- motions pour EXPRESSO et 123 promotions pour FREE.
