Beaucoup d’utilisateurs de Windows 10 et 11 ont remarqué qu’une application non désirée s’était installée sur leur PC : HP Smart. Cela concerne tous les ordinateurs, même ceux qui ne sont pas de la marque HP. Il s’agit d’une erreur et il est tout à fait possible de désinstaller le logiciel sans compromettre la sécurité de son OS.
C’est un bug qui a été repéré par bon nombre d’utilisateurs de Windows 10 et 11. Ils ont remarqué qu’une nouvelle application était apparue sur leur PC : HP Smart. Une installation étrange qui concerne tous les ordinateurs, même les non HP.
La chose a d’abord été repérée sur Reddit. Après une mise à jour ou une réinitialisation de Windows 10 ou 11, cette application s’immisce automatiquement sur le système d’exploitation, et ce sans vous demander votre avis. Tout le monde n’est pas concerné (ce n’est par exemple pas notre cas), mais le souci semble très répandu à travers le monde.

Il semblerait que HP Smart s’installe sur toutes les versions de Windows 10 et 11, du moment qu’elle dispose du Microsoft Store (c’est la boutique qui la télécharge automatiquement). Précisons que l’application n’est pas dangereuse pour votre PC ; elle permet simplement de gérer les imprimantes de la marque HP. Si elle se retrouve ici, c’est tout simplement à cause d’un bug. De fait, il est tout à fait possible de la désinstaller sans endommager votre machine.
Pour se faire, il ne faut pas passer par le panneau de configuration, mais directement par le Microsoft Store.
Si HP Smart reste sur votre PC, ce dernier ne court aucun danger. Vous aurez juste une application inutile dans votre menu démarrer, rien de plus.
Une erreur sans conséquence, donc, mais qui se montre tout de même étonnante. Microsoft a annoncé être au courant de la situation et promet de réagir rapidement. Encore une fois, rappelons que la présence de HP Smart n’entraîne aucune conséquence pour la sécurité de votre PC et de vos données. Il est donc inutile de s’inquiéter.
