Le procès des 81 personnes arrêtées lors des violences survenues pendant la campagne électorale des élections législatives anticipées a connu son dénouement ce lundi à Saint-Louis.
Après délibération, trois prévenus ont été reconnus coupables d’exercice illégal de la police, de détention d’armes blanches sans autorisation, de violences et de vol. Ils ont été condamnés à trois ans de prison ferme.
Pour les autres prévenus, le tribunal a prononcé des peines variées : deux ans de prison dont six mois ferme pour certains, six mois assortis de sursis pour d’autres, et trois mois assortis de sursis pour le reste.
Concernant Bassirou Diop, décédé le 7 décembre dernier, l’action judiciaire a été déclarée éteinte. En revanche, 55 prévenus ont été relaxés et recouvrent la liberté
