La ligue des Imams et Prédicateurs du Sénégal,
– Considérant son rôle d’acteur averti de la société civile religieuse sénégalaise,
– Consciente des enjeux du moment, qui ne laissent personne indifférente,
– Consciente des risques que la situation politico-sociale pré-électorale fait planer sur la stabilité de notre pays,
– Ayant eu recours à des spécialistes de haut rang du droit constitutionnel sénégalais pour une meilleure analyse de la situation et l’esquisse d’issues heureuses face au climat de tension qui règne dans le pays,
– Consciente des répercussions désastreuses que les positions des uns et des autres pourraient avoir sur les vies humaines civiles et militaires d’enfants du même terroir et sur la sécurité des biens de nos concitoyens et des étrangers vivant parmi nous,
– Prenant en considération le verset 9 de la sourate 49 qui recommande au croyant de tout faire pour ramener la paix et la concorde au sein de la communauté en cas de divergence,
déclare ce qui suit :
1. La Ligue des Imams et Prédicateurs du Sénégal déplore le nombre de victimes en vies humaines et dégâts matériels occasionné lors des rassemblements et réunions politiques dans cette période pré-électorale et avant, prie Allah d’accueillir les morts au Paradis et d’inspirer à leurs familles la patience,
2. Demande au Chef de l’Etat, clé de voûte des institutions, d’user de toutes ses prérogatives constitutionnelles pour que règnent la paix et la stabilité dans le pays, et pour la sauvegarde de l’intégrité physique et des biens de
nos concitoyens civils et militaires. Car, il est de son devoir d’inscrire le pays dans un climat électoral serein, garant d’un processus transparent à tous les niveaux et étapes, afin d’éviter à notre cher Sénégal des lendemains
postélectoraux sombres et incertains
3. Elle lui de poser des actes forts allant dans le sens de la désescalade et de l’apaisement, et
4. Requière de sa part, le report des élections législatives dans le respect de la légalité constitutionnelle, et la réouverture urgente du dialogue politique de manière inclusive pour que des décisions d’un commun accord soient prises sur les questions majeures du processus électoral qui, si elles ne sont pas tranchées de manière consensuelle peuvent entacher le processus, ternir notre démocratie et justifier des comportements aux
conséquences désastreuses pour notre pays.
5. La Ligue demande à toutes les parties prenantes aux élections, au nom de la paix et de la cohésion sociale, de répondre à l’appel au dialogue pour l’intérêt supérieur de la nation.
La Ligue prie Allah (SWT) de veiller sur le Sénégal, de préserver sa paix et sa stabilité, ainsi que sur l’ensemble des pays de la Ummah et de l’humanité toute entière.
