Orange finance mobiles Sénégal (Ofms) et l’Association de financement des professionnels du transport urbain (Aftu) ont initié un partenariat, visant à accélérer l’inclusion financière au Sénégal, en particulier pour les utilisateurs des services de transport urbain.
Ce partenariat stratégique, dont la signature a eu lieu ce 28 février 2024 permettra, selon le directeur général de Ofms, de combiner les forces et les compétences respectives de Ofms , de Aftu, ainsi que ses entreprises affiliées, notamment MECTRANS, TRANSVIE et CAPTRANS pour améliorer l’expérience des utilisateurs des services de transport urbain avec des solutions simplifiées.
« Aftu transporte plus de 1 million 400 mille personnes par jour et emploie 10 mille personnes », dit le directeur général de Ofms. C’est pourquoi, dit-il, nous avons pensé mettre en place un partenariat qui va faciliter la vie de nos clients en leur permettant d’utiliser Orange money pour le paiement des tickets de transport.
Pour Aliou Kane, ce partenariat ne va pas se limiter à la digitalisation du ticketing, mais permettra également aux employés de Aftu de bénéficier des services de MECTRANS à distance avec des retraités, des dépôts et de l’épargne d’argent grâce à Orange money.
La partie assurance également fera l’objet de réflexion.
En ce sens, le Directeur général de Ofms confie que l’idée est de réfléchir avec Aftu pour voir comment digitaliser la partie assurance vie pour permettre aux employés de Aftu de bénéficier des services de Transvie, à distance.
Pour sa part, le président de l’Association de financement des professionnels du transport urbain s’est réjoui de la signature de ce partenariat.
« Nos équipes et celles de Orange finances mobiles Sénégal ont travaillé sur ce projet pendant quatre mois et nous voulons que nos passagers utilisent Orange money pour payer les tickets », explique Mbaye Amar.
Le président de Aftu, a par ailleurs, annoncé le renouvellement de leur parc automobile avec le changement des véhicules vétustes.
« Il y en a des voitures qui sorties hier (27 février) et 80 sont déjà en circulation. 120 voitures sont en train d’être remises en bon état et avant la fin de 2024, 400 seront changées », confie Mbaye Amar.
