Le déficit d’enseignants au Sénégal est estimé à 45 000, selon le Directeur exécutif de la Coalition des organisations en synergie pour la défense de l’éducation publique, Cheikh Mbow. «Il faut insister sur la résorption des gaps. Il y a des gaps énormes dans le secteur de l’éducation sur plusieurs aspects. Le gap en enseignants est évalué à 45 000», a dit Cheikh Mbow à l’Aps.
Il prenait part à Fatick (Centre-Ouest) à une rencontre élargie à plusieurs acteurs de l’Ecole autour du thème : «Amélioration de l’équité dans les conditions d’apprentissage.» Cette rencontre, qui a mobilisé plusieurs acteurs, a abordé plusieurs sous-thèmes comme «Modèles d’établissement d’excellence», «Equité dans les offres non formelles (Daara, atelier d’apprentissage)», «Défis de l’équité au niveau académique» et «Equité dans les apprentissages».
«Nous avons aussi des gaps en tables-bancs, en mesures de sécurité dans les écoles et sur plusieurs autres aspects (…) il nous faut une bonne prise en charge de l’équité avec des écoles qui répondent aux conditions d’amélioration des performances», a insisté Cheikh Mbow.
Pour une meilleure prise en compte des questions liées à l’équité en milieu scolaire, le Directeur exécutif de la Cosydep propose une «approche locale» dans chaque académie.
