Mariés depuis huit ans, Amadou Camara et son épouse Diarra Ndour sont en détention préventive depuis hier mercredi. Le couple, en provenance de Kaffrine, a été interpellé avec cinq kilos de drogue à Thiénaba alors qu’il tentait de rallier Dakar sur une moto.
Selon L’As qui donne l’info, les mesures prises par l’Etat du Sénégal pour dissuader les férus et trafiquants de drogue sont loin de décourager ces derniers qui continuent de se livrer au trafic illicite des produits prohibés. Hier, les éléments de la brigade de gendarmerie de Thiénaba ont réussi un joli coup de filet avec l’arrestation de deux individus qui détenaient de la drogue. Il s’agit du couple Camara. Il ressort de l’enquête qu’Amadou Camara et son épouse Diarra Ndour avaient quitté Kaffrine pour se rendre à Dakar. Pour passer entre les mailles des filets des forces de sécurité, le couple a décidé d’embarquer sur une moto. Après un premier arrêt à Kaolack, et un second à Fatick, les deux tourtereaux se sont arrêtés une troisième fois à Thiénaba afin de s’approvisionner dans une station d’essence. Mais leur comportement suspect a intrigué des éléments de la brigade de gendarmerie qui les épiaient. Lorsque les époux Camara ont flairé qu’ils étaient suspecté, ils ont repris la route, direction Dakar.
Malheureusement pour eux, ils ont été arrêtés net par les pandores à une dizaine de kilomètres de la sortie de la ville. Après une fouille minutieuse, les gendarmes n’ont rien trouvé sur les deux individus. Mais poussant davantage leur fouille, les hommes en bleu ont découvert dans un sac à dos dissimulé dans la selle de la moto un sachet contenant cinq kilogrammes de cannabis. N’ayant pas opposé la moindre résidence aux forces de sécurité, les deux amoureux ont été transportés à la brigade où leur garde à vue leur a été notifiée. Le couple Camara sera présenté au procureur de la République ce jeudi et devrait sans nul doute être placé sous mandat de dépôt, à moins d’un retour de parquet. Cependant, des sources proches du dossier rapportent que le sieur Camara aurait proposé aux pandores une importante somme d’argent pour échapper à une sanction pénale. La drogue saisie et la moto ont été mises sous scellées et l’enquête suit son cours.
